Sherlock Holmes

Our small village is a peaceful place and especially during autumn and winter. There are perhaps two cars passing by daily, our taxi driver Tiina and the postman. That's about it - but not yesterday.

We had just got home from work and school, I stood in the kitchen unpacking the groceries when our youngest ran in. He had thought of running over to granny's next door but noticed when reaching their yard that a strange car was just driving away and that the veranda door was open... When we found out that the grand-parents had driven to continent, I took our biggest dog and big-sister started showing photos of cars. The house was empty but someone had been inside.

When I phoned the police I could tell almost the name of the car and which ferry to alarm - because this is an island, you have use a ferry to get away... I am just so grateful that our Sherlock got there when the thieves were already driving away and were no more inside! Now we are waiting for news if the police got them, at least we tried our best. And the 5-year-old Sherlock got this fine pipe from the grateful granny!
